T3WK1 beginnings...

Haere mai, whakarongo mai!
Kereru have roared back into school for term 3 with a range of exciting learning opportunities:
  • Drafting a 'pre-report' based on student-led Inquiry questions
  • Completing a Geometry pre-test and starting to explore different 2D and 3D shapes; how to identify, rotate, translate and reflect them
  • Running a preliminary 1000m run to begin Cross Country training and initiating Daily Fitness, (when the wild weather allows!)
  • Prepping an Olympic-themed School Assembly with Korimako for T3WK2
  • Baxter and Will co-presenting Senior Assembly on Friday
  • Emma and Will receiving class certificates for their efforts in the early stages of student-led Inquiry
  • Finalising student-led Inquiry questions, getting into groups of 1-3 across the SNR syndicate and proofing these wonderings via the four class teachers
  • Practising our Te Reo via Monday School Singing, 'words of the week' and Friday afternoon Language recap sessions.  ( For more, visit: www.maorilanguage.net )
Practise Utaina here:
  • Beginning Electives #3.0 which consists of a range of exciting activities, including: Knitting, Woodwork, Coding with Tom, Stop Motion with Cameron and Post-It Note Art just to name a few!
